Delegation
Token holders who may not be active can delegate the voting power to users who they share the same vision with. This can simplify the process, and allow users to earn governance reward without actively monitoring the DAO proposals.
Proposal Types
Parameters Proposal
This type of proposal changes the key parameters of the protocol, the parameter changes would be within the hard ranges and conditions that is defined in the contract. Parameters such as maximum ticket size, portfolio allocation.
These type of changes may deviate the DAO's investment strategy, thus it would take a longer voting time and a higher quorum threshold, to account for all DAO participant's opinion.
Contract Proposal
This type of proposal changes the key logic of the DAO, including but not limited to reward distribution, parameters range.
Key logic changes might significantly impact the operation of the DAO, additionally logic changes might incur unintended contract risk. Such changes should only be done when necessary, or when there are strong need to upgrade the DAO in order for the product to stay competitive.
This will require a high quorum vote count and a hard coded vote time of no less than 14 days, and timelock upgrade of 7 days, to account for all participant's opinion and the protocol's security. Additionally, these changes may be best accompanied with audited code changes to ensure the safety of the DAO's
